Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Honey Soy Glaze (Edit recipe)

These bacon-wrapped shrimp are made for passing and popping. Plump shrimp wrapped in seriously good bacon from US Wellness Meats, then brushed with a glossy honey–soy glaze made with Tamari soy sauce from Jozo.  I like to finish them with a crumble of blue cheese. Totally optional, but it adds a creamy, punchy contrast that takes the whole bite up a notch. Easy, impressive, and gone in minutes. Don’t miss out on the bacon and soy that make this recipe shine. Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Preheat your broiler to high and line a baking sheet with foil. Place an oven-safe wire rack on top and lightly oil it so nothing sticks.
  2. Wrap each shrimp with ½ slice of bacon, securing it snugly around the shrimp. Arrange the wrapped shrimp evenly on the rack.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, toasted sesame oil, and minced garlic to make the glaze.
  4. Brush the tops of the shrimp generously with the soy honey glaze. Place under the broiler and cook for 5-6 minutes, keeping a close eye on them as broiler times can vary.
  5. Carefully flip the shrimp, brush again with glaze, and return to the broiler for another 2–3 minutes, or until the bacon is fully crisped and the shrimp are just cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Finish with crumbled blue cheese if using—it’s optional, but adds a creamy contrast that plays really well with the salty-sweet glaze.

Notes

The soy honey glaze makes more than you’ll need for 12 shrimp, so feel free to wrap and cook as many shrimp as you’d like. If you don’t have a wire rack, you can place the bacon-wrapped shrimp directly on the foil-lined baking sheet.
