Dairy-Free Iced Matcha Latte
Make your own Dairy-Free Iced Matcha Latte at home with this simple recipe. This vibrant green tea drink is rich, earthy, lightly sweet, and energizing. It’s served over ice but can also be made hot, and it’s easy to customize with your favorite dairy-free milk and flavorings — for a fraction of the price of the coffee shop.
Ingredients
- 1.5 tsp1.5 tsp1.5 tsp Matcha Green Tea Powder

- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Hot Water, around 170-180°F (NOT boiling)
- 0.75 cup0.75 cup0.75 cup Almond Milk, or dairy-free milk of choice
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Agave Nectar Syrup, or liquid sweetener of choice, to taste (optional)
- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Vanilla Extract, optional

- 4 - 54 - 54 - 5 Ice Cubes, omit for a hot latte

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Sift the matcha powder through a fine-mesh sieve into a matcha bowl or other small bowl, using a small spoon to push it through. Sifting helps prevent clumps. Add the hot water and whisk briskly in a zig-zag (W-shaped) motion for about 30 seconds, until fully combined and lightly foamy. Set aside. (A bamboo whisk works best, but a regular whisk or handheld milk frother also works.)
- In a glass (for iced) or mug (for hot), combine the dairy-free milk, agave, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined, or use a handheld milk frother to make the milk extra frothy.
- For an iced latte, add a handful of ice cubes to the milk mixture. For a hot latte, gently heat the milk mixture in the microwave or on the stovetop until warm.
- Pour in the prepared matcha and gently stir to combine. Enjoy!
