Creamy Dill Cucumber Cottage Cheese Dip for Chips, Veggies, and Salmon
This cucumber cottage cheese dip is cold, creamy, and easy to make when you need a quick, high protein snack, a light lunch add-on, or an easy dip for a BBQ or summer spread. The cucumber and dill keep it light and fresh, while the blended cottage cheese makes it smooth, creamy, and high in protein.
I usually make this high protein cottage cheese dip for chips, crackers, or cut vegetables, but I also love using it as a cold sauce for grilled meats or salmon.

- In a food processor or blender, combine the cottage cheese, lemon juice, olive oil, fresh dill, garlic powder, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Finely grate the cucumber, then squeeze out as much excess water as you can using a paper towel or clean kitchen towel.
- Transfer the blended mixture into a medium bowl, fold in the cucumber, and give it a good stir.
- Serve straight away, or chill for a few minutes first if you want the flavour to settle a bit more. Enjoy with chips, crackers, fresh veggies, or as a cold sauce for grilled meats or salmon.
Notes
Squeeze the cucumber well so the dip stays thick and creamy, not watery. Chill for 5 to 10 minutes before serving if you want the flavour to settle a bit more. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and stir before serving. No blender or food processor? Mash the cottage cheese well with a fork for a more textured dip. Serve with 1-Ingredient Parmesan Cheese Chips, Nacho Cottage Cheese Chips, or Parmesan Crusted Salmon.
