Fourth Quarter Platform Stats at a glance

  • 1.2M page views for 2023 from 220,000 healthy recipe consumers
  • 3609 recipes on the platform from 100+ recipe creators and brands
  • In Q4, we had 359,713 page views from 80,459 healthy recipe consumers
  • Our consumer community grew 60% this quarter over Q3, and 160% over prior year Q4
  • Podcast launched 8 episodes recorded in 2023, already have more on deck scheduled for 2024
  • Q4 food drive philanthropy SURPASSED our 5,000 item donation goal!
  • Hosted a Vegan Bake-off contest with Pascha Chocolate and Primal Palate

2023 Q3 update

  • Our platform boasts 3200+ recipes. We are on track to meet and likely exceed our end of year target of 3600 recipes.
  • We grew to 79 Creators, and we are on track to exceed our year end target of 85 Creators.
  • We had 281,000 quarterly page views from 45,000 healthy recipe consumers. 
  • Our consumer community grew 74% this quarter over last year’s Q3 and we are on track to meet our target of 285,000 users this year.

2022 year in review

FoodSocial has had a very successful year in 2022! As we reflect back to everything that has happened this year we want to thank you, the creators and brands, for making it such a great year. This year we have doubled the recipes added to the platform, grown our page views immensely, and seen a massive jump in meal plan views. Below are some of our (your) more specific achievements over the past year. We are excited to see what 2023 brings us!

Growth

FoodSocial saw a solid year of growth across all metrics, with the strongest areas being creator community growth, and increase in recipes on the platform (driving deeper and longer visits).

  •  2200+ recipes from 75+ recipe creators and brands.
  •   Exceeded 90k healthy recipe consumers and 500k page views.
  •   Meal plan page views grew 33% (Q4).
  •   Creator involvement has grown through multiple live Town Halls and the Recipe Showcase Series events. You can view Town Hall replays on FoodSocialTV
  •   Initial Creator equity proposal.
  •   Consumer community grew 280% (Q4), with 219% growth in page views.
  •   Our contextual marketing is well above industry averages with CTR of 11% (recipe to ingredient info and shopping).

Superlatives:

Community

Community is one of our pillars at FoodSocial, and one of our biggest goals for 2022 was to foster a sense of community among our creators and brands. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’ve found it encouraging that you have been craving community as much as we have. Here are a few ways we’ve connected our community over the past year:

  • We began hosting Town Halls to provide our community with newsworthy updates and connect on a more regular basis. Our first Town Hall was in May, where we communicated our mission as well as upcoming features to the platform; and had an open discussion on how creators and brands wanted to get more involved. Our second Town Hall was in September, where we presented our equity framework. We look forward to even more as we continue growing our community.
  • We created a FoodSocial workspace on Slack that allows our creator and brand community access to one another, and allows us to connect with you as well. We share all community updates, FoodSocial news, and more on Slack first!
  • During the first Town Hall, we received feedback that creators were interested in the opportunity to collaborate with one another, so we made it happen! We’ve facilitated a Summer collaborative series and a Fall/Winter series in which we’ve partnered creators and brands to come up with their own festive menus together. Seeing what you have created and learning about the inspiration behind your dishes has been one of our favorite outcomes of this year. You can watch replays on FoodSocialTV.
  • We’ve also facilitated relationships between creators and brands. From natural introductions during Town Halls, to linking brands to creators to send their products for recipe creation, to partnering brands and creators during our collaborative series. It brings us joy to serve our community as a liaison in this way!

Community is always at the forefront of what we’re building. YOUR community. A place to support one another, connect, share food stories, memories, and recipes–to help each other grow. You are the best part of FoodSocial.

Creator Equity

Perhaps one of the most exciting milestones of this past year has been developing our Creator Equity Framework. When we say we’re giving creators a “seat at the table,” we mean it–we are giving you the opportunity to impact change on the platform and earn equity ownership in FoodSocial. The objective of ownership is to incentivize you to be involved in FoodSocial’s growth and success.
