Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results

For peanut sauce

  1. In a saucepan on low heat, add the ingredients for the peanut sauce and stir to avoid clumps while the peanut butter gets soft. When the sauce begins to bubble it is ready. Set aside.

For the beef marinade

  1. Using a sharp knife, cut the steaks in half and trim the central line of connective tissue and any excess skin. You should have clean cut strips of beef.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the beef strips and seasonings. Allow to marinate for a minimum of 1 hour.
  3. Heat grill to medium heat.
  4. Thread the beef onto skewers (if skewers are wooden, presoak for 10mins) about 2 slices per skewer then place on grill.
  5. Cook for about 3 minutes on each side. Repeat 4-6 times. The skewers are done when they are nicely charred and feel springy. Allow to rest for 5minutes before serving with peanut sauce.
