Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- 1. Mix all burger patty ingredients together. Add salt & pepper.
- 2. Form 4 patties and put on a plate and refrigerate while you prepare the rest of the meal so that they can form well together.
- 3. Chop your vegetables (you can add other vegetables here like tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms).
- 4. Begin to warm a flat pan while you grab the patties from the refrigerator.
- 5. Add oil to warm pan, add burger patty. Use a burger press to smash the burgers down.
- 6. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side. Flip once, press down again and leave for 2 minutes, then add your sliced cheese to begin melting.
- 7. While the cheese melts, toast your buns on another pan. Add butter to the burger buns, add to pan.
- 8. Once toasted, top with mayo, vegetables, and add burger patty once ready.
Notes
To make this higher protein, use High Protein Hamburger buns like the Hero brand. To lower the fat content & increase the protein content, sub out the mayo and make your own cottage cheese mayo (blend cottage cheese, add ranch seasoning and a little dijon mustard).
