The Best Oven-baked Chex Mix (Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free)
This gluten-free and dairy-free savory snack mix is made with Chex cereal, gluten-free pretzels, peanuts, and spices, offering a delightful crunchy and flavorful treat.
Ingredients
- 3 cups3 cups3 cups Corn Chex
- 3 cups3 cups3 cups Rice Chex
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Gluten Free Pretzel Twists
- 1.5 cups1.5 cups1.5 cups Peanuts, (lightly salted and peeled)
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Plant Based Butter, salted (I like Earth Balance)
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Wheat-free Tamari
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Ground Cumin

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Also, preheat oven to 250℉.
- In a large bowl add your corn chex, rice chex, pretzels and peanuts. Gently toss everything.
- Melt earth balance or vegan butter in a small microwave safe bowl.
- Once the butter is melted and warm, combine spices and soy sauce with he butter. Stir until there are no clumps remaining.
- Pour half butter and spice mixture over the Chex, pretzels, and peanuts. Gently toss to coat everything. Stir the remaining butter mixture (the spices tend to fall to the bottom) and pour over the Chex, pretzels, and peanuts once again. Toss until every piece is coated.
- Lay out the buttery snack mixture across the lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 250℉ for a total of 1 hour, however, toss every fifteen minutes to ensure even toasting.
- Serve to your favorite party guests and enjoy! If you take the whole bowl to the couch and consume it all in one sitting, I won’t judge you because I know, it’s THAT good! 🙂
