Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F.
- Divide the pizza dough into small portions and roll them into balls (about 12 pieces).
- Lightly coat the pizza dough balls with cooking spray (you can also brush olive oil) to help the seasoning stick.
- In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and parsley together.
- Sprinkle the seasoning blend evenly over the dough balls, ensuring they're well-coated.
- Place the seasoned dough balls in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches if they don't all fit at once in a single layer.
- Air fry at 350°F for about 8-10 minutes. To ensure even cooking, shake the air fryer basket gently a few times as they cook, so they rotate. Be sure to check after around the 6-minute mark to see if they've reached your desired level of doneness and adjust accordingly. Cooking time may vary based on the size of the bites and your air fryer model.
- Once they're golden brown and cooked to your liking, remove them from the air fryer.
- Optional: after coming out of the air fryer, melt some butter and mix in some salt, pepper, garlic powder, parsley. Brush on top of the bites and sprinkle with some parm cheese.
- Allow the pizza dough bites to cool slightly before serving, and enjoy!
Notes
On average, air fry time for these pizza dough bites will be about 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through, but it's a good idea to check them after 6 minutes to see how they're progressing and adjust as needed. I've only tested this recipe using the refrigerated gluten free pizza dough from Trader Joe's - using another may alter recipe. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the size and thickness of the dough balls and your specific air fryer model. You can also adjust the seasonings to your taste. This ratio should provide a good balance of flavors and a slightly garlicky kick.
