  1. In your non-stick pan, melt your butter, then let it cool for a minimum of 2-3 mins.
  2. In a bowl, add your flour, sugar, baking powder, & salt.
  3. Mix until combined, then set a side.
  4. In a large bowl, add your sourdough discard either from the refrigerator or at room temp.
  5. Remember these are discard pancakes, feeding is not required.
  6. If your discard has an alcohol smell, that is perfectly fine.
  7. This means your discard is hungry.
  8. Once you’ve added your discard to a bowl, add your milk, eggs, vanilla & slightly cooled butter.
  9. Mix until combined.
  10. Add your dry into your wet mixture.
  11. Mix until you see no clumps of flour.
  12. Let badder rest for 10-15 mins.
  13. In the same skillet you melted your butter, use a quarter cup to pour your badder in.
  14. Using a quarter cup will give you a dozen small pancakes.
  15. Half a cup will give you 6 large pancakes.
  16. If you’re using a non-stick skillet, you don’t need to have your pan greased.
  17. Once your pan is hot, make sure ti reduce to medium heat.
  18. Pour your badder in and cook for about 45 secs to 1 minute until you see bubbles.
  19. This is the time to add your fruit or chocolate chips.
  20. Once you see several bubbles, it’s time to flip.
  21. Cook for additional 45 secs to 1 minute.
  22. Serve with all your favourite toppings!
  23. REMEMBER ITS SOURDOUGH, SO ITS GUT HEALTHY!
