Baklava Bites
These delectable little baklava bites are not only delicious, but they look cute as a button! Each of them being filled with sweet, authentic greek flavors, amplified by the use of our Kosterina Organic Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil, these are sure to be a favorite by your family and friends. Ingredients
- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup Organic Walnuts
- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup raw Pistachios
- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup Almonds
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Organic Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Kosterina
- 1/2 whole1/2 whole1/2 whole Lemon, zested
- 1.5 Tbsp1.5 Tbsp1.5 Tbsp Raw Sugar
- 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp1/8 tsp1/8 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp1/4 tsp1/4 tsp Salt

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Add Walnuts, Pistachios, and Almonds to a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes until fragrant. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Add toasted nuts, lemon zest, EVOO, Sugar, Cinnamon, Salt, and Vanilla to a food processor and pulse to chop.
- Add mini filo cups to a mini muffin tin. Fill each filo cup with 1 teaspoon of mixture from the food processor. Bake for 10 minutes.
- While those are baking, in a saucepan on medium-low heat add in water, honey, and sugar. Turn heat to a simmer and stir every few minutes until combined and thickened, about 10 minutes.
- Pour 1 teaspoon of mixture into each cup and let it soak in. Pour another teaspoon into each cup and then chill in the fridge for at least 5 hours or overnight before serving.
