Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Add the meat, 4 cups of water, and Birria Bomb to an Instant Pot. Cook the meat until fully done.
  2. Shred the cooked birria meat and set aside.
  3. Spread mayonnaise on the outside of the sourdough bread slices.
  4. Layer the shredded birria meat, cheddar cheese, cilantro, and onions between the sourdough slices.
  5. Add more cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Toast the assembled sandwich on both sides until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
  7. Cut the grilled cheese sandwich in half and serve with the consommé.
