Strawberry Rose Pops
Ready for an easy Valentine's Day snack using strawberries and raisins? Kid-friendly and nutritious, this is a holiday-themed snack without any added sugars! Valentine’s Day is all about sweets + flowers, so I figured I’d combine the two into a healthy & fun snack that turns strawberries into roses, kids cups into flowerpots, raisins into soil, and reusable cake pop sticks into flower stems!
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Using a paring knife, cut 4 "petals" from each side of the strawberry. Slightly bend them backwards but be careful not to cut completely through the bottom or the slice will fall off.
- Cut more slices inside those petals, and bend them backwards again. Keep adding “petals” as you get higher to the tip of the strawberry until you cannot cut anymore slices.
- Poke a reusable cake pop stick into the bottom of the strawberry, and put them all into a cup.
- Fill your "flowerpot" cup with raisins for your "soil". Happy Valentine's Day!
