Sourdough Protein Toast
Get in some extra gut health with this sourdough protein toast to get your morning started right!
Ingredients
- 1 pieces1 pieces1 pieces Sourdough Bread, Toasted
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Cottage Cheese, Lactose-Free - Good Culture
- 2 oz2 oz2 oz Avocado, Mashed w/ s&p to taste
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Crunchy Chili Onion - Trader Joe's
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Toast sourdough bread
- Spread cottage cheese on top
- Top with mashed avocado
- Drizzle with chili onion crunch oil
- Sprinkle pepitas over the top and serve
Notes
I used local, homemade sourdough. Good culture is my go-to cottage cheese brand. When I don’t have an avocado on hand, I use Good Foods Avocado Mash single serving cups. I used chili-lime spiced pepitas. To add even more protein, I added shredded chicken as the first layer on top of the toast.
