Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to large, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add apple slices; stir occasionally for 5 minutes.
  2. Add Apple Pie Spice to apples; continue stirring occasionally for 10-15 minutes, or until apple slices are golden brown and soft. Remove skillet from heat.
  3. Preheat broiler to low heat. Line a large, rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper. Arrange baguette slices, side-by-side, in a single layer. Place baguette slices under broiler for 30-90 seconds, or until they are toasted and lightly golden brown; keep a watchful eye so they do not burn. Turn baguette slices over and broil for additional 30-60 seconds, or until opposite sides are toasted and a light golden brown.
  4. Arrange toasted baguette slices on a serving platter.
  5. Spread a heaping 1/2 teaspoon green olive paste over each toasted baguette slice. Top baguette slices with cooked apples. Lightly drizzle with olive oil. Serves 10-12 as an appetizer.
