Ready in under 30 minutes, with all the cozy, fall comfort of apple pie - without the crust. Only 4 ingredients, these deliciously gooey, warmly-spiced Apple Pie Apples are vegan, gluten-free, nut-free and refined sugar-free. Much quicker to make than an apple pie too. Serve as a side dish or a healthy dessert.

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Melt plant butter in large, nonstick skillet over medium heat
  2. Add sliced apples; stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in maple syrup, followed by apple pie spice; stirring more frequently as apples soften and begin to lightly brown, about 15 minutes.
  4. Serve immediately as a side dish or healthy dessert, or store in a container in the refrigerator to use in other recipes.

Notes

Make sure apple slices are sliced between 1/8” to 1/4”-inch thick. Measure a slice with a ruler so you know exactly how thick apples should be (sliced too thin and apples will fall apart while cooking; sliced too thick and apples take much longer to cook). I’ll be sharing other recipes that use these delicious Apple Pie Apples. *Stay tuned.* Vegan. Dairy-free. Egg-free. Gluten-free. Nut-free. Refined sugar-free.
