Tender, juicy chicken thighs deep fried then coated in a tangy mustard sauce.  Then tucked into pillowy brioche rolls topped with a slaw of your choice or served without one.  These sliders are flavorful and oh so satisfying!

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results

For the honey mustard sauce

  1. In a saucepan, add all the ingredients and simmer on low until syrupy. Stir occasionally to avoid burning. When finished, set aside.

For the chicken marinade

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and allow to marinate for 1hour minimum.
  2. To fry the chicken, heat a heavy bottom frying pan over medium heat, add oil. Use more oil if needed, it should be about 1/3 of the pan you are using.
  3. While the oil heats, get another mixing bowl or clean, dry Ziploc bag, add flour and spices. Place pieces of chicken thighs in the flour mixture and shake until it is evenly coated.
  4. To test to see if the oil is ready, drizzle some flour over the hot oil. If it bubbles then it is ready and gently put in the coated chicken. Allow to fry for 15 minutes or until the thermometer reads 165 degrees F.
  5. Drain the fried chicken on some paper towel or a wire rack then transfer to a bowl and coat with the sauce.
  6. For assembly, slice the buns in half, place the chicken between the slices. Serve and enjoy!
