Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. In a Dutch oven on medium cook the chicken in oil. Add salt and pepper, stir and cook for 7-8 minutes.
  2. Add vegetables, stir and cook for 7-8 minutes.
  3. Add herbs, stir.
  4. Add broth, water, and milk. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add cheese and stir in, let cook for a minute to melt.
  6. Turn heat off and add bacon on top.

Notes

It is best to cook the bacon separate in a small pan. Cook until done and let sit until needed. If you want you can use ground pork instead of chicken, Italian sausage is really good too. You can add a little shredded Parmesan on top for extra creaminess.
