Edible Protein Cookie Dough
Everyone loves cookie dough and now you can enjoy it guilt-free. This edible protein cookie dough is easy to make and tastes just like the real deal. Enjoy as a post-workout treat or a feel-good healthy dessert. Bonus: the recipe is naturally gluten-free and can easily be made dairy-free and/or vegan.
Ingredients
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Vanilla Protein Powder, (40g) *plant-based or regular
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Almond Flour, (60g)
- .25-.5 tsp.25-.5 tsp.25-.5 tsp Salt, to taste
- 2.5 Tbsp2.5 Tbsp2.5 Tbsp Applesauce, Unsweetened, (37 mL)
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Sugar-Free Dark Chocolate Chips, (22g) *plant-based or regular
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Combine the protein powder, almond flour, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Add in the unsweetened applesauce and mix until a dough-like consistency is formed. This will take some work as both the protein powder and almond flour will gradually absorb more and more of the applesauce. If needed, add ½ teaspoon at a time of water or milk to achieve the desired consistency.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Roll the edible protein cookie dough into 1 tablespoon size balls or enjoy as is.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
