Frozen Peanut Butter & Chocolate Banana Bites (Edit recipe)

These cute peanut butter & chocolate banana bites are such a fun treat! They're so simple to make and can even be a fun project for little hands to help out with too. The peanut butter can easily be swapped out for another nut butter of your choice, a sunflower butter or even a granola butter. If you need to avoid gluten or dairy, just check the labels on your chocolate and nut butters. Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Slice bananas into 1/4 inch coins, then spread out on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer. Place into the freezer for about 20 minutes, or until banana coins are frozen.
  2. On one banana slice, smear some peanut butter on the flat surface, then use another banana slice to sandwich the two together.
  3. Dip the sandwich halfway (or more - you can even fully dip!) into the melted chocolate.
  4. Lay the banana sandwiches back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Place back into the freezer for about 20 more minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.
  6. Enjoy!!

Notes

This recipe is easily made gluten free using gluten free chocolate chips and gluten free peanut butter. Easily made dairy free as well using a dairy free chocolate. These are best enjoyed when still slightly frozen, so I don't recommend letting them fully thaw first! ◡̈
