high-protein caesaroni sandwich
a high-protein, grain-free spin on the viral caesaroni sandwich 🥪🌯💥
honestly, i could make this delicious sandwich every. single. day. for lunch. so good! a pepperoni pizza + a homemade caesar salad - loaded with extra protein, cheese, & just lunch-time perfection!
p.s. don’t sleep on my caesaroni skillet nachos 😉
Ingredients
caesar salad
- Lettuce, Romaine, finely chopped
- greek yogurt caesar dressing (click for recipe)
- Parmesan Cheese, finely grated

- Parm Crisps, optional

- homemade parmesan croutons (click for recipe), optional
- Peperoncini Peppers, diced, optional
- English Cucumber, diced, optional
- Tomato, Cherry, diced, optional

sandwich
- 3 - 4 oz3 - 4 oz3 - 4 oz Tuna, Canned, or protein of choice (chicken, turkey, etc.)

- 1 - 2 Tbsp1 - 2 Tbsp1 - 2 Tbsp Pizza Sauce, check notes for my "homemade" pizza sauce

- homemade grain-free bread (click for recipe)
- Mozzarella, shredded
- Chicken Pizza Mini Meat Sticks - The New Primal, diced

- Pepperoni, Uncured, diced

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
caesar salad
- toss chopped romaine with homemade caesar dressing, parmesan cheese, & any other toppings you like; refrigerate until ready to assemble.
building the sandwich
- mix together protein of choice with pizza sauce.
- to 2 slices of bread, add ½ pizza mixture + mozzarella + pepperoni.
- preheat oven or air-fryer to 350, then add sandwich to oven for 5-6 minutes to melt cheese.
- once cheese has melted, add caesar salad on top.
- enjoy open-faced OR add the other half of the sandwich on top.
- serve with additional caesar salad as a side.
Notes
homemade pizza sauce: ingredients: 10 oz. canned tomato sauce + 2 T golden monk fruit + 1 T amore seasoning + 2-4 T water directions: add all ingredients to a saucepan & simmer for 8-10 minutes.
