I love the sweet and umami flavors of these nuts. My family loves snacking on nuts but I find it is important to create new flavors to keep from getting bored. Nuts provide so many different minerals and healthy fats and this recipe works with almost any nut combination you prefer. I used Lark Ellen sprouted almonds and pecans and Jozo’s barrel aged soy sauce. Shop Here for the ingredients and use code ALOHA for a discount. Enjoy!

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Turn oven on to 300 degrees and line a small sheet pan with parchment paper, set aside.
  2. In a small bowl combine all ingredients and stir to coat all nuts.
  3. Pour onto sheet pan, spread out to one layer.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove and stir nuts around, spread out to one layer.
  6. Cook for 5 minutes more. Remove from oven.
  7. Spoon nuts onto a separate sheet pan to cool. It is best if the nuts don’t clump or touch too much or they will be stuck together.

Notes

Use whatever combination of nuts you prefer. You can also use honey in place of the syrup if you like. These nuts are fantastic chopped up and put on an Asian inspired salad.
