Sausage & Cheese Pancake Muffins
You know those McDonald’s McGriddles that are savory and sweet all the same time, well imagine that in muffin form. These muffins are the perfect thing to prep for the week. They’re packed with protein, and have healthy thoughts in them. They are a great breakfast for your toddler or kids during the week drizzle them and syrup and you have the perfect breakfast treat.
Ingredients
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Breakfast Sausage

- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Egg
- 2 cup2 cup2 cup Pancake Mix, Kodiak Cakes

- 1.5 cup1.5 cup1.5 cup Whole Milk
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Cheddar Cheese

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat your oven to 350°. Line A muffin pan with cupcake liners.
- Cook your choice of sausage in a pan over medium heat until it is fully cooked. Add the cooked sausage to your mixing bowl. Then add your eggs, pancake mix, milk and maple syrup. Stir together. Fold in the cheddar cheese.
- Pour batter into muffin pan place the can in the oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes.
- Drizzle and syrup and enjoy.
Notes
You can add more or less maple syrup, depending on your desire of sweetness. You can also swap out the whole milk for a dairy free milk if you would like. You don’t have to use a protein pancake cake mix, but I chose to add more protein to the batter.
