Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Envelope sandwich sealed with a heart: To make our envelope sandwich sealed with a heart, we cut off the crusts (so our kids don’t have a full on meltdown in school), cut another triangle piece of bread for the flap, and used a cookie cutter for our heart shaped cheese seal. You can fill that sandwich with whatever your child will complain the least about! Use that same spread to stick the triangle fold to the rest of the sandwich.
  2. Strawberry Rose Pops: Using a paring knife, cut 4 "petals" from each side of the strawberry. Slightly bend them backwards but be careful not to cut completely through the bottom or the slice will fall off.
  3. Cut more slices inside those petals, and bend them backwards again. Keep adding “petals” as you get higher to the tip of the strawberry until you cannot cut anymore slices.
  4. Poke a reusable cake pop stick into the bottom of the strawberry.
  5. Caprese Heart Skewers: Take your grape tomatoes and slice them at an angle. Turn the two pieces inward to make a heart shape.
  6. Take a toothpick and add a folded piece of basil, then a mozzarella ball, then add the hearts, then a mozzarella ball, and another piece of folded basil. Repeat until all toothpicks are used.
  7. Stuffed Apple Hearts: Slice apple into thin slices. Using a heart shaped cookie cutter, carve out hearts from your apples. Load on the peanut butter (and mix in optional hemp hearts for extra plant-based protein and omegas). Cover with another apple heart.
  8. Melt your white chocolate. Dip half your apple heart sandwich into the chocolate and then cover with sprinkles.
  9. Add red dye-free candies to the lunchbox and enjoy!
