These healthy, citrusy energy balls are paleo and vegan. This delicious dessert takes just 15 minutes to make.

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Melt the coconut oil on the stovetop.
  2. Take the melted coconut oil off the stovetop and stir in the honey. Add vanilla extract and orange juice, and mix well.
  3. Add the above mixture to the almond flour.
  4. Stir in chocolate bits, slivered almonds, coarse sea salt and tangerine peels.
  5. Mix everything together well and make small round balls out of the mixture.
  6. Refrigerate the balls for 30 minutes.
  7. Enjoy cold!

Notes

I used Lily's brand of paleo dark chocolate baking chips. You can also use the Hu brand of dark chocolate chips, you might need to break them up a bit.
