  1. You can buy tostada shells but making your own is easy and taste much better than store-bought, see notes for a link to How to Make Tostada Shells.
  2. Prepare your vegetables.
  3. Cut the avocado, place it in a bowl, and mash it with the back of a fork or a potato masher.
  4. Spread the avocado on the tostadas.
  5. Top with lettuce, tomato, cheese and salsa.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and serve immediately.
