Balsamic Green Beans
Green beans with garlic and balsamic vinegar. This is a recipe from my childhood. Simple to make and perfect alongside any meat dish.

- 2-3 cloves2-3 cloves2-3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 pinch1 pinch1 pinch Salt and Pepper, to taste
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Bring a large stockpot of water to boil.
- While the water is coming to a boil, rinse the green beans, then trim the ends off if necessary.
- Mince the garlic cloves, then set aside.
- Once the water has boiled, add the green beans and bring the water back to a boil. Cook until they are fork tender about 5-10 min.
- Once cooked drain the green beans, then add them to a large bowl or platter. Sprinkle them with garlic, add olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Mix well and taste adding more salt and pepper or vinegar or oil as necessary.
Notes
You can substitute red wine vinegar for the balsamic vinegar or garlic powder instead of fresh garlic.
