Chocolate protein granola
A hearty chocolate granola with deep earthy notes of coffee, warm cinnamon spice and a hint of sweetness for the perfect balance of flavor and crunch.
Ingredients
- 111 Egg Whites
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Oats, Rolled
- 42 grams42 grams42 grams Chocolate Protein Powder, 21g, per scoop (2 scoops)
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted, melted
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Instant Coffee
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, add all the dry ingredients EXCLUDING the egg whites, butter and extract. Mix and set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk egg whites until frothy.
- To the whites, add the melted butter and vanilla and whisk to incorporate.
- Using a spatula, add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Spread mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lay oats even as possible.
- After every 10 mins, stir and allow to bake low and slow. Let cook for 40 minutes or until oats are dry and toasty.
Notes
For larger clusters of granola, bake as a whole then to form clusters break to desired size.
