Chopped Cheese Sandwich
This will be on our game-day menu every year going forward! Picture Philly Cheesesteaks but on a much easier and cheaper level. Juicy, cheesy, and absolutely incredible! ENJOY!
Ingredients
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb 85% Lean Ground Beef - US Wellness Meats

- 0.666 cup0.666 cup0.666 cup Onion, Diced
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt

- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Garlic Powder

- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Coconut Aminos
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Butter, Salted

- 888 Sourdough Bread, 8 Slices of Sourdough
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Avocado Oil Mayonnaise
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

- 111 Tomato, Thinly Sliced
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Red Onion, Sliced
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Lettuce, Green Leaf, Shredded
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Meat & Potatoes Seasoning - Primal Palate

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a large skillet add the onion and ground beef.
- Brown and crumble the beef over medium heat. Stir and chop the beef mixture occasionally with a spatula.
- In a small bowl make the sauce by mixing together the salt, garlic powder, coconut aminos, and the meat and potatoes seasoning. Mix until fully combined.
- Pour the sauce into the ground beef mixture and mix until the beef is evenly coated.
- Turn the beef onto low heat, and simmer.
- Butter the outside of each bread slice, and coat the other side with the mayo.
- Lay the butter side down on a large griddle pan and lightly brown the slices of bread over medium low heat.
- This is the only side of the bread you will pan fry.
- When the bread is lightly golden brown and almost done pan frying, add the cheese to the ground beef mixture.
- Mix the ground beef until the cheese is melted and fully combined.
- Plate the slices of bread, and add the ground beef and the veggies to the bottom slice.
- Top each sandwich with the other slice of bread.
- Serve, and ENJOY!
