This Cinnamon Roll Whipped Cream is an easy-yet-impressive way to top coffeeshop-style drinks at home. The whipped cream would also be fantastic atop holiday pies, a bowl of ice cream or whatever dessert you might be serving that could benefit from a little cinnamon kick. The key flavor booster in the whipped cream is ground "Cinnamon Roll" Faux Joe from Sip Herbals. Here you'll see it served as a cheater latte (I don't bother frothing the extra heavy cream, since the whipped cream topping provides that magic).

Process

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Make the whipped cream: Add 1 cup heavy whipping cream to the metal bowl of a stand mixer fitted with whisk attachment. Begin running on low and sprinkle in ground Sip Herbals Faux Joe and powdered sugar. Increase speed to medium and continue whipping until stiff peaks are formed, about 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer whipped cream to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and set aside.
  2. Brew the Faux Joe: Add 3 tsp "Cinnamon Roll" Faux Joe to a tea or beverage strainer. Pour over 12 oz hot water and let steep for 3 minutes.
  3. For serving: Stir 1 Tbsp heavy whipping cream (optional) into the prepared Faux Joe. Pipe Cinnamon Roll Whipped Cream in a circular motion on top and garnish with a pinch of ground cinnamon and a whole cinnamon stick. Serve.

Notes

I used a spice grinder to grind a few tablespoons of "Cinnamon Roll" Faux Joe and transferred it to a spice jar for use in the whipped topping. You'll need just 1 tsp., so the rest can be used later or sprinkled on top of beverages. The whipped cream recipe yields 6 to 8 servings, though you'll want to be generous when serving on coffeehouse-style drinks.
