Easy Chocolate “Buttermilk” Mug Cake
Who doesn’t love the convenience of a microwave, single-serving cake?
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp All Purpose Flour, (28g)
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder, (5-6g)
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Granulated White Sugar
- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Baking Powder
- .25 tsp.25 tsp.25 tsp Baking Soda
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Whole Milk, (45g) or Buttermilk (skip vinegar if using buttermilk)
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Canola Oil, (30g)
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- 1. Combine flour, cocoa powder, white sugar, baking powder, and baking soda in a microwave-safe mug or small bowl. Stir to combine well.
- 2. Add in milk and canola oil. Whisk well with a fork.
- 3. Stir in chocolate chips.
- 4. Microwave for 60 seconds, or until cake is set.
