Hearty Beef Penne
Ingredients

- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Ground Beef, 80/20 - Bachman Family Farms
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Garlic, minced
- 15 oz15 oz15 oz Tomato Puree (Strained Tomatoes), (1 can)
- 14.5 oz14.5 oz14.5 oz Beef Broth
- 1.5 tsp1.5 tsp1.5 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 tsp1/4 tsp1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp1/4 tsp1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Spinach, fresh
- 2 cups2 cups2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded (part-skim)
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- In a pan, cook beef over medium heat until meat is no longer pink.
- Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Drain.
- Stir in the tomato puree, broth, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Add spinach; cook for 1-2 minutes or until spinach is wilted.
- Drain pasta; stir into beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook for 3-4 minutes or until cheese is melted.
