- Start by chopping your apples and nuts into your desired size.
- Toss them in a bowl with the lemon juice to slow down the oxidation and browning of the apples.
- On your serving plate, dollop your labne and spread into a circle with the outer rim slightly higher than the center.
- Pour the apples and nut into the center of the labne.
- Next, pour and swirl the hot honey and olive oil in a circular motion all over the top, allowing them to get into the nooks and crannies.
- Finish with a sprinkling of the kosher salt, cayenne pepper, and ground sumac.
- Serve with challah or simply divvy up eat with a spoon.
Notes
**For homemade labne, add 1/2 tsp of kosher salt to 16oz of full-fat greek yogurt. Stir well, and then place in a cheesecloth-lined strainer, and cover the yogurt completely in the cheesecloth. Place the strainer on top of a bowl, and chill in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Remove the labne from the cheesecloth, and either dispose of the strained whey or use it how you like. Store in the refrigerator and enjoy.
