Matcha Mojito

Ingredients
Mint Simple Syrup
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Sugar, Raw
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Water
- 6 whole6 whole6 whole Mint Leaves
matcha Mojito
- 2 oz2 oz2 oz Matcha Green Tea Powder

- 8 oz8 oz8 oz Water
- 4 whole4 whole4 whole Mint Leaves
- 1.5 oz1.5 oz1.5 oz Simple Syrup, the Mint Simple Syrup from above

- 2 oz2 oz2 oz Rum
- 1 oz1 oz1 oz Lime Juice, freshly squeezed
- 3 oz3 oz3 oz Club Soda

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Mint Simple Syrup
- Combine water with sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add 5-6 mint sprigs and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let it sit and steep for about 15 minutes.
- Strain the syrup into a jar or bottle, discarding the mint leaves. Let cool and store in the fridge.
- Matcha Tea
- Add 1 teaspoon of the matcha powder to 8 ounces of water and whisk until all the powder is mixed.
- Matcha Mojito
- Add mint leaves and mint simple syrup (1.5-2 ounces, depending on the sweetness level) to a high, sturdy glass.
- With a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon, muddle leaves with syrup about 5-6 times until the mint is fragrant.
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Add the rum, matcha tea, and freshly squeezed lime juice to the glass.
- Top with club soda and give it a stir.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and enjoy. Cheers!
