One Pan Taco Skillet
Need a hearty and healthy dinner that’s ready in 30 minutes! This is a family favorite!
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb1.5 lb1.5 lb Pasture Raised Ground Turkey - US Wellness Meats, Or ground beef

- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Sweet Potato, Diced
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Onion, Diced
- 3 cloves3 cloves3 cloves Garlic, Chopped

- 1 oz1 oz1 oz Taco Seasoning - Primal Palate, Or your favorite brand

- 4 oz4 oz4 oz Green Chiles, Fire Roasted, Small can
- 14 oz14 oz14 oz Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
- 14 oz14 oz14 oz Black Beans

- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Chicken Broth, Low Sodium

- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Avocado, Optional for top
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Cilantro, Chopped

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- 1. Start by peeling and dicing your sweet potato. Place the potato in your skillet with either cooking spray or a little olive oil. Let sautee while you chop the remaining ingredients.
- 2. Chop your onion and place in the pan.
- 3. Add your ground turkey and brown.
- 4. Add your chopped garlic and taco seasoning and mix well.
- 5. Add the canned beans, tomatoes, green chili’s and chicken broth and mix.
- 6. Cover and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 7. Top with cheese and cover until the cheese is melted.
- 8. Serve with sliced avocado and cilantro on top.
Notes
This dish is amazing with chips, rice or alone. Feel free to add sour cream or Greek yogurt as well.
