- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9-inch by 13-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, nut butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy. Add the egg, milk and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, baking soda and salt.
- Add dry ingredients into wet ingredients, stirring until no streaks of flour remain. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans, reserving about ¼ cup of each.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Top with reserved chocolate chips and chopped pecans. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Let cool completely in the pan (at least 30 minutes) before lifting out. Cut into 24 bars and serve.
