Pumpkin French Toast Sticks With Spicy Maple Syrup
Sugar and spice and everything nice! These pumpkin french toast sticks are great for the fall season and super easy to make.
Ingredients
- 0.5 whole0.5 whole0.5 whole Pandoro, (old brioche bread works too, about 20 sticks)
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Easy Roasted Pumpkin Puree (click for recipe), (I used E.D. Smith)
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Eggs
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Pumpkin Pie Spice

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Vanilla Extract

- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Whole Milk
- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Granulated White Sugar

- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Cinnamon, Ground

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Butter, Unsalted, (to coat the skillet)

- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Spicy Maple Syrup, (I used Zoë Olive Oil)

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a large bowl combine; pumpkin purée, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract and milk, set aside
- On a cutting board slice up your pandoro into even sticks, set aside
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add half of your butter to the pan
- Once butter is melted, take your sticks and soak them into your batter
- Dunk each stick and place onto skillet
- Let the sticks cook on each side for about 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown
- In a small bowl; mix white sugar and cinnamon together
- Coat each stick into the cinnamon and sugar mixture
- Repeat process until all sticks are gone
- Pour maple syrup into a small dish (optional)
- Dip sticks into maple and enjoy!
Notes
Store in the fridge in an air tight container for a few days. Re-heated in air fryer is the best way to enjoy these!
