  1. Preheat the oven to 375˚ and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Wash the asparagus, trim off the bottom 1-2 inches of the stalks, and discard the ends.
  3. Place the asparagus on the prepared sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Zest and juice the lemon and sprinkle the zest on the asparagus. Set aside lemon juice for later.
  5. Roast the asparagus in the oven for 10-15 minutes until asparagus is tender and slightly browned.
  6. Squeeze the fresh lemon juice over the asparagus and serve.

Notes

Cheese - Sprinkle roasted asparagus with finely shredded parmesan. Spicy - Season the asparagus with ¼ teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes before roasting. Grill - This lemon asparagus can be cooked on the grill or a grill pan on medium heat for 7-10 minutes until the asparagus is tender and lightly browned. Pan sear - Cook the seasoned lemon asparagus in a pan on the stovetop over medium heat for approximately 8-12 minutes until lightly browned and tender. Air Fryer - Place seasoned lemon asparagus in the air fryer and cook at 325˚ for 8-12 minutes until tender and lightly browned.
