Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan
Easy to make roasted asparagus with butter and parmesan cheese. A simple side dish recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 lb1 lb1 lb Asparagus, ends trimmed
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Salt
- 0.125 tsp0.125 tsp0.125 tsp Black Pepper
- 0.125 tsp0.125 tsp0.125 tsp Garlic Powder
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Butter, Salted
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Pre-heat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Trim the ends off of the asparagus and place them onto the parchment paper in an even layer.
- Drizzle the asparagus with the olive oil then sprinkle the salt, black pepper and garlic powder over them. Toss them to coat, then make sure they are in an even layer.
- Cut the butter into small cubes and scatter over the asparagus, then sprinkle the asparagus with the parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the asparagus is fork tender.
- Remove from baking sheet and sprinkle any browned crispy cheese bits that are left on the parchment paper onto the top of the asparagus.
- Serve as is or with a squish of lemon.
Notes
Baking times will vary depending on the thickness of the asparagus. A thinner asparagus will require less baking time. Start checking sooner if necessary. You can sprinkle some lemon juice over the asparagus for more flavor if desired (optional).
