Slow Cooker Pork Ribs
Fall off the bone ribs, easily made in the crockpot then a quick finish on the grill. They are tasty and so easy to make, no oven needed on a hot day.
Ingredients
- 3 - 4 lb3 - 4 lb3 - 4 lb Pork Spareribs
- 2 - 3 Tbsp2 - 3 Tbsp2 - 3 Tbsp Sweet Rib Rub - The Spice Lab, See notes for other options

- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Barbecue Sauce, Use your favorite

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Remove the spareribs from the packaging, pat them dry then cut them in half to fit your slow cooker.
- Liberally sprinkle both sides of the ribs with the Sweet Rib Rub then place them into the slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 4 hours, or on low for 7 hours.
- Remove the ribs from the slow cooker and discard the liquid.
- Pre-heat the gas grill to 400°F.
- Place the ribs onto the grill and brush them liberally with the barbecue sauce, flip and do the same for the other side.
- Let them cook for approximately 5 minutes then remove them from the grill and serve with more bbq sauce as desired.
Notes
Rib rub amounts are estimates, you can sprinkle more or less onto them as desired. The ribs go into a the crockpot without any liquid as they will make their own as they cook. If you don't want to use the rub, you can simple sprinkle ribs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a bit of brown sugar. Rub it all over then place them into the crockpot.
