Stewed Bosc Pears with Cloves and Vanilla
This recipe has softly simmered and softened Bosc pears spiced with whole cloves, a bit of honey and finished with vanilla. This stewed fruit recipe is perfect spooned over yogurt or served as a sweet finish to a meal.
Ingredients
- 111 Pear, Bosc
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Cane Sugar
- 5 pieces5 pieces5 pieces Cloves, Whole

- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Honey

- Cut the pear in half and scoop the seeds out.
- In a meduim saucepan place the pears and fill the saucepan with water until the pears are covered.
- Bring to a low boil of medium heat and cook for 10 minutes on stovetop.
- Add cloves, and sugar and continue simmering for another 7-10 minutes.
- Let liquid thicken and make sure pears are soft before adding honey and vanilla, stirring to incorporate.
- Carefully remove pear halves and layer over bowl filled with yogurt, leave cloves in pan.
