This recipe has softly simmered and softened Bosc pears spiced with whole cloves, a bit of honey and finished with vanilla. This stewed fruit recipe is perfect spooned over yogurt or served as a sweet finish to a meal.

  1. Cut the pear in half and scoop the seeds out.
  2. In a meduim saucepan place the pears and fill the saucepan with water until the pears are covered.
  3. Bring to a low boil of medium heat and cook for 10 minutes on stovetop.
  4. Add cloves, and sugar and continue simmering for another 7-10 minutes.
  5. Let liquid thicken and make sure pears are soft before adding honey and vanilla, stirring to incorporate.
  6. Carefully remove pear halves and layer over bowl filled with yogurt, leave cloves in pan.
