Vanilla Buttermilk Pancakes
My mom's super-easy recipe for fluffy vanilla buttermilk pancakes.
Ingredients
- 3.5 oz3.5 oz3.5 oz Brown Butter, melted

- 2 cup2 cup2 cup 00 Flour
- 2 whole2 whole2 whole Egg
- 0.3 Tbsp0.3 Tbsp0.3 Tbsp Vanilla Extract

- 1.5 cup1.5 cup1.5 cup Buttermilk
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Cane Sugar

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat griddle to 375°F. In a medium bowl, melt butter in the microwave. Add the self-rising flour on top, then add eggs and vanilla. Whisk in buttermilk until big, thick drips fall off the whisk — add more buttermilk if needed, but don't let it get too runny.
- Using a 1/2 cup measure, pour batter onto the griddle. When bubbles start to pop through the top, flip the pancakes and cook for about 3 more minutes on the other side.
- Serve hot with butter and syrup.
Notes
Make sure to use self-rising flour. The batter should form thick drips when lifted with a whisk — not too runny.
