Air Fryer Caramelized Persimmon
Persimmons are one of my favorite Fall fruits and they are delicious raw, but they turn dreamy and amazing caramelized in the air fryer and topped with ice cream. This version is also sprinkled with pumpkin pie spice for that wonderful Fall flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 whole1 whole1 whole Persimmons, fuyu - medium ripe
- 1 pinch1 pinch1 pinch Avocado Oil Spray, or
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Coconut Sugar, or brown sugar
- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice, plus more, to taste
- .5 cup.5 cup.5 cup Vanilla Ice Cream, or your favorite ice cream

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees F.
- Halve the persimmon, then score the cut side with a sharp knife in a checkerboard pattern.
- Spray the cut sides with a cooking spray, then top with coconut sugar and pumpkin pie spice.
- Cook in the air fryer cut side up for 20-30 minutes until softened to your liking. The more ripe the persimmon, the less time it’ll take.
- Transfer to a plate and top each with half with a scoop of ice cream.
- Sprinkle with more pumpkin pie spice before digging in.
