Instant Coffee Dirty Chai
I’m always on the hunt to make a barista level coffee at home, but with bare minimum effort. Most mornings I just do straight instant coffee, but sometimes I want more of a treat. I usually order a dirty chai from a coffee shop, but have to ask for only one shot of espresso because I cant do heavy caffeine. This lets me just have coffee and avoid the espresso anxiety 😬
I’m really impressed with Portland Syrups chai concentrate. Not only are they using glass (A+), but their straight forward ingredients pack a hell of a punch!

- Using a quart jar or large glass, add hot water and instant coffee.
- Cool it off with some ice and add your chai concentrate.
- I then like to top my whole jar with ice and then fill the rest of the way with milk. Give it a stir and a taste. If you like a sweeter drinker, add a touch of maple syrup!
- Top with cinnamon and enjoy!
