Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Prepare a small tray or plate with parchment paper.
- Combine the powdered peanut butter, applesauce, peanuts, and salt in a large bowl and mix until well combined and a stiff dough forms.
- Scoop the dough into 1 tablespoon size portions, roll into balls, and place on the tray/plate. Allow to chill in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes to firm up slightly. This makes dipping easier.
- When the peanut butter balls have chilled, prepare the chocolate by melting it in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until fully melted and smooth.
- Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate and cover it completely. Lift the ball out of the melted chocolate with a fork, gently tapping the fork against the edge of the bowl to help shake off any excess chocolate.
- Place the dipped peanut butter balls back onto the tray/plate. If desired top each ball with an extra drizzle of melted chocolate, festive sprinkles, or a bit of coarse sea salt
- Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature. Enjoy!
- Store the leftover peanut butter balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 6 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
