Apple Pie Matcha
Matcha lovers come to the front. Your matcha doesn't have to be boring during the fall. By using a milk alternative such as corn milk and a sweet apple pie simple syrup you'll be sure to enjoy the sweet taste of Fall.
Ingredients
- 0.666 cup0.666 cup0.666 cup Cornmilk - Maizly

- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Matcha Green Tea Powder

- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Water, Warmed
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Apple Cider
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Light Brown Sugar
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Water
- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Nutmeg
- 2 tsp2 tsp2 tsp Apple Pie Spice - Primal Palate

- 0.25 tsp0.25 tsp0.25 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste

- 0.333 cup0.333 cup0.333 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Simple Syrup, using the Apple pie simple syrup from above

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- For your simple syrup this can be made ahead of time. In a small pot on the stove add in your apple cider, brown sugar, apple pie spice, water and nutmeg
- Stir on medium heat
- Allow the syrup to simmer for 15 minutes
- You can taste test it to see if it's sweet and spicy enough for your liking
- Allow it to cool then add your vanilla bean paste
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 14 days
- In a microwave safe measuring cup heat your water for 30 seconds
- Place your matcha into your mixing bowl and pour the warm water on top
- Whisk in a "W" or "M" motion until the matcha powder is smooth
- Grab your glass and fill it to the top with ice
- Pour in your cornmilk
- Then add in your apple pie simple syrup
- Pour your matcha into the cup but don't stir it yet
- In a separate small cup pour your heavy whipping and apple pie simple syrup
- Use a whisk or frother until the cream gets stiff and thick
- Top with a Sprinkle of apple pie spice, stir and enjoy!
Notes
I used a spoonful of my small batch apple pie compote to line my cup. Makes for an esthetically pleasing drink. You can sub apple cider for apple juice if you don't have it available
