The Easiest Mashed Potatoes
Mashed potatoes are an easy side dish to add to your holiday meals. They can be labor intensive when you have to peel a lot of potatoes, so we prefer to make them with a potato ricer, so you don't have to peel the potatoes. This eliminates a lot of prep time, and makes your day of cooking less stressful!
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lb2 1/2 lb2 1/2 lb Yukon Gold Potatoes
- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup Butter, Unsalted, softened to room temperature, cut into slices

- 1/4 cup1/4 cup1/4 cup Half and Half, at room temperature
- 1 tsp1 tsp1 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt - Primal Palate

- 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp1/2 tsp Black Peppercorns, Ground Fresh

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Bring a large pot of water to boil over medium-high heat.
- Wash your potatoes, and cut each potato in half, or into quarters depending on how large the potatoes are. Leave the skin on.
- Boil the potatoes until fork tender. This will take anywhere from 20-30 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes from the water.
- Using a potato ricer, rice the potatoes into a large mixing bowl. After pressing the potatoes through the ricer, you will want to remove and discard the potato skin from the potato ricer before filling the ricer with more potatoes.
- Add the butter and half and half to the riced potatoes. Season with the salt and pepper, and stir to evenly combine.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
This recipe requires a potato ricer. It is the easiest way to make perfect mashed potatoes, and you don't have to peel the potatoes prior to boiling them!
