Award-Winning Vegan Dark Chocolate Mousse (Gluten-Free, Peanut-Free)
Chocolate mousse for two (or 4 if you make small portions). So creamy & delicious with a luscious chocolaty texture, you’ll be shocked that this dreamy dark chocolate mousse is dairy-free, egg-free, refined sugar-free, grain-free and gluten-free. No-bake, plus prepped and ready to eat in under 10 minutes, it couldn’t be easier to make. Or, keep in the fridge until ready to serve. Doesn’t taste healthy yet it is. “Award-winning” because it was the grand prize winning recipe in a recipe contest sponsored by a popular food brand 3 years ago.
Ingredients
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Medjool Dates, Pitted and halved; about 7-10 dates depending on size
- 8 oz8 oz8 oz Avocado, I used four (2oz each) cups of pre-packaged avocado mash
- 1.25 tsp1.25 tsp1.25 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Pure Maple Syrup
- 5 Tbsp5 Tbsp5 Tbsp Cocoa Powder, Unsweetened
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk, Or other nut-free, plant milk
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Pascha 70% Cacao Organic Vegan Dark Chocolate Bar, Chopped; as garnish (optional)
- 2 - 3 tsp2 - 3 tsp2 - 3 tsp Pomegranate, Arils; as garnish (optional)

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Place dates, avocado mash, vanilla, maple syrup, and salt in food processor or blender. Cover with lid; blend until smooth. Add cocoa & almond milk. Blend until completely smooth.
- Spoon chocolate mousse into ramekins or small cups. Can be served immediately or refrigerate individual portions until ready to serve. Garnish with chocolate shavings or pomegranate arils.
- Makes 2 large servings or 4 smaller servings.
Notes
To make nut free, use your favorite plant-based milk.
