Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Add olive oil to 14-inch, deep-sided, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onions, stirring occasionally for 1-2 minutes.
- Add salt and pepper; stir occasionally for 2-3 minutes.
- Add Primal Palate French onion seasoning mix packet; stir. Add honey. Continue stirring about 15-20 minutes, or until onions are golden brown and caramelized. Remove caramelized onions to large plate. Set aside.
- Return same skillet to medium heat (do not clean or wipe out). Place thawed U.S. Wellness Meats 75% lean ground beef slider patties in hot skillet; turning after 3-4 minutes. Continue cooking additional 2-3 minutes, or until desired doneness. Remove sliders to large plate; allow to rest for a 3-5 minutes to seal in juices.
- Return same skillet to medium heat (do not clean or wipe out). Add onions to skillet to warm them back up; adding in 5 slices dairy-free Swiss cheese, breaking up slices with spatula as cheese melts into onions. Remove from heat once cheese is melted and onions are hot.
- Place 12 bottom slider buns on serving platter. Top each bottom bun with 1 slider. Break apart remaining 5 slices dairy-free Swiss cheese, to fit each slider. Top cheese with caramelized onions. Garnish with sliced green onions. Close sliders with 12 top slider buns. Brush bun tops with melted dairy-free butter. Serve immediately.
Notes
To save you time on game day, the caramelized onions can be made 1-2 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Reheat and mix with dairy-free Swiss cheese right before serving sliders (see Step 5).
