Chai-Spiced Butternut Squash Smoothie
Got leftover butternut squash from Thanksgiving? Or just want to change up your smoothies or sneak in more veggies? Or are you a chai spice lover? Well then you will want to try this chai-spiced butternut squash breakfast smoothie will all the fall vibes! This smoothie is so perfectly spiced and is incredibly creamy, you'd never think you're getting a serving of veggies in it! It makes a great balanced breakfast, filled with fruits, veggies, carbs, healthy fats, and protein!
Ingredients
- 111 Banana, ripe and frozen
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Butternut Squash, roasted or steamed and frozen (or sweet potato)
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Cauliflower Rice (click for recipe), frozen (optional- doesn't change the flavor!)
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Almond Milk Yogurt, plain or vanilla (or yogurt of choice)
- 1 cup1 cup1 cup Almond Milk, or milk of choice (plus more to thin as necessary)
- 2 Tbsp2 Tbsp2 Tbsp Vanilla Protein Powder, optional
- 1 Tbsp1 Tbsp1 Tbsp Almond Butter, or cashew butter; do nut sub peanut butter as the flavor can be overpowering
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 0.125 tsp0.125 tsp0.125 tsp ground Ginger
- 0.125 tsp0.125 tsp0.125 tsp Cardamom Seed, ground
- 1 pinch1 pinch1 pinch ground Nutmeg
- 1 pinch1 pinch1 pinch ground Cloves

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth, adding more milk as necessary to thin.
- Pour into a glass and optionally add toppings-- I added granola and pepitas. Enjoy!
