Cheesy 4 Layer Dip
An easy to make creamy, cheesy 4-layer dip made with gorgonzola, fontina, crispy bacon, and a sweet twist of pears. It all comes together in one dish and it's mild enough that even the blue cheese haters will love it. Perfect for parties and holidays, this dip combines cream cheese, sour cream, and savory toppings like bacon and chives with a hint of sweetness from the fresh pears. Caramelized onions are mixed in for and extra level of flavor and because who doesn't love caramelized onions?!
Ingredients
- 8 oz8 oz8 oz Full Fat Cream Cheese, softened
- 5 oz5 oz5 oz Gorgonzola Cheese, crumbled
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Sour Cream
- 0.25 cup0.25 cup0.25 cup Mayonnaise
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Garlic Powder
- 0.5 tsp0.5 tsp0.5 tsp Onion Powder
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Fontina Cheese, shredded
- 111 Yellow Onion, very thinly sliced
- 4 Tbsp4 Tbsp4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Bacon, diced
- 3 Tbsp3 Tbsp3 Tbsp Chives, finely diced
- 0.5 cup0.5 cup0.5 cup Asian Pear, diced

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Then add the sliced onion and stir with a spatula until all the slices are coated in butter. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, crumbled gorgonzola cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and fontina cheese. Then fold in the caramelized onions. It’s not going to be perfectly smooth yet and that’s ok, you’ll give it a mix after baking! You can leave a few of the gorgonzola crumbles out to garnish the dip with later.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes or until it’s heated through and starting to bubble.
- Remove the dip from the oven, mix it gently with a spoon, and then top with the diced bacon, pear, and chives.
- Serve with your favorite crackers or toasted bread for dipping!
